Shares in Teleperformance fell 15.3% on Friday after the Paris-listed company saw its stock slide sharply in the latest session. The drop left the firm’s market capitalisation at 4.01 billion EUR, with the share price settling at 68.44 EUR. None of the reports reviewed by Falling Shares gave a reason for the fall.

Company-specific move dominates

By Falling Shares' measure, almost all of the move was company-specific. The total decline of 15.3% included a negligible 0.1% contribution from the broader market, while 15.2% was attributed to factors unique to the firm. The CAC 40 index fell just 0.8% in the same session, highlighting the isolated nature of the sell-off.

Trading volume reached 814,995 shares as the stock slipped. The decline represents a significant portion of the company's recent performance, adding to a 5-day loss of 14.8% and a 1-month drop of 2.2%.

Volatility remains elevated

Falling Shares rates the stock Unstable, citing an annualised volatility of 45.5% compared to 12.3% for the benchmark. The stock has experienced 12 sessions with moves of 5% or more in the past six months, a frequency 3.7 times that of the CAC 40.

Despite the sharp recent fall, the share price remains 22.0% higher than its level one year ago. However, it is now 16.8% below its 52-week high of 82.7 EUR, having traded in a range between 43.65 EUR and 82.7 EUR over the past year.
